West U16 bow out of Norfolk cup but progress to the plate.
The score line of 46 - 5 on Diss's favour did not reflect the true impressive, valiant performance of West U16's. The boys have progressively improved over the weeks with an impressive 77 - 5 win over Swaffham followed by an excellent performance and win 20 - 10 over Norwich but Diss was a step to far. West threw everything at Diss but the speed of the Diss backs intercepting ball enabling them to run through to score too many tries. West best play came straight from the second half kick off where they had Diss pinned in their 22 for 20 mins but could not convert all their efforts into score, Diss then sealed the game with 3 consecutive tries to allow them to go forward to the semi finals where it is rumoured that this team will be the favourites to raise the Norfolk cup. William Dodds was the only try scorer for West but excellent performances by all was achieved with Chris Edwards nudging the MoM for his scrummaging performance. Well done to all the West boys and they will play their hardest to hold on to the Norfolk Plate which they so deservedly won last year. Next Game this coming Sunday V Wymondham at home which will be another exciting challenge.

WNRUFC Youth Committee
We are looking to start a youth committee so our younger players can be more involved in decisions/communication in their section of the rugby club. We want the youth palyers to feel more involved and also encourage them to become active in their club as a whole. Being involved with this should also help them with the volunteering aspect of their Dof E awards, if their school is not currently involved in Dof E provision it should not put off our players as there are other ways we can record their volunteering so it can count on their personal statements for uni or cv for job applications, all of which they will be doing in the not too distant future! We have made no decisions on what the committee should do as we believe those decisions should be made by the committee themselves. The first meeting will be: Wednesday 20th July 6pm at the club
