Mitchell Anderson from under 15s in Leicester Tigers Trial
A very well done to Mitchell Anderson from the under 15s at west norfolk RUFC (Mitchell is last years winner of the Finlay Barnham cup which is awarded to the clubs most promising youth player, and is living up to expectations). He took part in a Leicester Tigers training assessment camp on Tuesday night. It was an awesome night with very very quick rugby and Mitchells tackling was 100% and at no time did he look out of place. Four teams took part in a round Robin tournament and there is three more rounds to go on dates to be announced. Tigers are picking a squad out of these assessment games and the selected squad is to play against Northampton Saints and other club teams. All at West Norfolk wish good luck to Mitch in the next rounds.

As a player, supporter and administrator you'll know the power of the game of rugby, its ability to turn lives around, make friendships and develop communities. In 2012 rugby will be changing lives in your local community and the developing world. We want your club to be part of it! On the 25th March 2012 there will be an incredible climax to the biggest ever celebrity sporting challenge and rugby is at the very forefront of it. First Nation Home for Sport Relief culminates in a 6 mile road race involving four national teams: England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Simultaneous races will take place in each capital city, Belfast, London, Edinburgh and Cardiff, as 1,000 people in each city pull on their national colours and run as fast as they can for their country! Every participant will be chip timed and their efforts will ultimately determine if their country wins the race. There are three spaces in Team England to run in the London race available for your club members. The teams will be kitted out for free in exclusive national English running kit of shirt and shorts. All we ask is your club representatives (in true Barbarian fashion) wear their club socks in the race and they try and raise as much money as they can for the Sport Relief charity. Entry to this event is normally £60 but this has been waived for rugby clubs in London and the South East.
